Princess Kate made a “subtle statement” as she left her engagement ring at home, a jewellery expert has exclusively told GB News.

Kate showcased her signature “flag dressing” style during a visit to Pontypridd in south Wales with Prince William on Wednesday.

The royal couple made their first joint public appearance since returning from a family holiday in the Caribbean.

Kate’s fashion choices paid tribute to Welsh heritage through carefully selected accessories and colours.

The Princess of Wales opted for a striking red Alexander McQueen coat, perfectly complementing the Welsh national colours.

Beneath her statement coat, the Princess wore a vintage Ralph Lauren jacket dating back to 2007.

The timeless piece demonstrated Kate’s sustainable approach to fashion, mixing heritage items with contemporary designs.

She paired these with a stunning Gucci brown plaid pleated midi skirt.

The elegant combination showcased her sophisticated style while maintaining practicality for the Welsh engagement.

For footwear, the mother-of-three selected bespoke brown Gianvito Rossi boots.

Jewellery expert Tobias Kormind, the managing director at 77 Diamonds, noted Kate’s minimal accessories during the Welsh visit.

He said: “Notably, the only other piece of jewellery the princess wore was her sapphire and diamond eternity ring, making a more subtle statement than her heirloom engagement ring.”
