Prince William has gushed about Princess Kate’s “amazing” jam just days before Meghan Markle’s major launch.
Princess Kate promised to share her recipe for plum jam with young volunteers on Wednesday at a community garden in Wales.
During a joint visit with Prince William to the Meadow Street Community Garden near Pontypridd, the Princess spoke with young gardeners who were growing plums.
Upon learning they were turning the fruit into jam, she offered: “I’ll send you my recipe so you can try it.”

Prince William was quick to praise his wife’s preserves, describing her jam as “amazing”.
The Princess has a history with homemade preserves, having reportedly given strawberry jam and plum preserve as Christmas presents in 2012.
This contrasts with her sister-in-law, Meghan Markle, who is currently producing her own range of jams to sell under her relaunched “As Ever” brand.
Unlike the Duchess of Sussex, the Princess of Wales makes her jam at home with no known plans to market it commercially.

She also revealed she is learning to forage in Norfolk with her three children.
The Princess mentioned finding a “huge” puffball mushroom near their home, which fascinated her children.
The royal couple toured the Meadow Street Community Garden and Woodland, which overlooks the River Taff and the A470.
Kate and William wore daffodils for their first joint away-day in Wales since the Princess’s cancer treatment.

They were shown “Bug-inham Palace”, an insect conservation area, and joined a group making plant-based balms around a fire.
The garden, described as a haven in an urban community, had bounced back after severe flooding last year.
During their visit, the Princess asked volunteers about access to nature and well-being.
“We were just hearing that this isn’t just about nature, it’s also about well-being. Do you feel that?” she enquired.
Prince William asked if there were many similar outdoor projects in the area. “Do you like getting outdoors?” he added. “It’s so good, isn’t it?”

Following their garden visit, the couple went to The Welsh Cake Shop in Pontypridd market, which was established in 1805. “How dirty can you be?” the Prince asked eagerly. “Flour everywhere?”
The royal pair sprinkled flour, kneaded dough and used rolling pins to prepare traditional Welsh cakes.
Prince William compared his efforts to his wife’s, asking: “Is that too thick?”
After cooking their creations, William proudly carried the tray to well-wishers, announcing: “Welsh cakes, made by us.”
Shop owner Theresa Conner, 46, was impressed: “They were very good. I asked and they said they had never made Welsh cakes before.”
