If playing professional soccer for one of the biggest clubs in the world ever stops working out, at least Alisha Lehmann has a second career to fall back on.
The woman dubbed the “world’s sexiest footballer” says that modelling could be big part of her future after dropping jaws with a Valentine’s Day with a lingerie photoshoot earlier this month.
The Swiss soccer star, who joined Italian giants Juventus this past off-season, says that she might continue modelling in the future, admitting that she feels “really confident in front of the camera.”
The 26-year-old midfielder recently shared a lingerie photoshoot for Tezenis Underwear on Valentine’s Day to launch a new collection. Lehmann was featured in a couple dozen new items for the Italian fashion brand.
Lehmann has been sidelined recently with a thigh injury and used the downtime to branch out into fashion.
The blonde beauty, who is dating fellow Juventus star Douglas Luiz, told Swiss outlet 20 minutes that she very much enjoyed the new type of exposure in front of the camera.
“I received an inquiry and then the Valentine’s collection was created. We really had a very good collaboration and a great shoot,” she said.
“We were able to take very beautiful pictures. I’m happy!”
She also said that modelling hadn’t been on her bucket list, but she welcomed the opportunity.
“I wouldn’t say that working as a model was on my bucket list,” she said with a laugh. “But it is certainly cool and it is definitely a change.
“I always feel confident in front of the camera. That’s why I really enjoy modeling. And when you work with different people, you can always learn something. I wouldn’t say that I’m a model, I’m a footballer.”
Lehmann’s followers on Instagram – which count almost 17 million – were thrilled by the snaps as the post racked up almost 700,000 likes.
Her focus remains on soccer, for now at least, with the Women’s European Championships looming this summer. She told 20 minutes that she is eager to make a full recovery from her injury in time for the tournament, which takes place this July in her home country.
“I’m incredibly excited about the summer. My whole family will be there, my friends from Switzerland, Italy and England. There will be a great atmosphere,” she said.
