Disaster struck for Manchester United’s Patrick Dorgu on Wednesday night as the January signing endured a nightmare performance against Ipswich Town.
The 20-year-old defender was at the centre of two major incidents that left United fans in disbelief.
Just four minutes into the match, a calamitous mix-up between Dorgu and goalkeeper Andre Onana gifted Ipswich an early lead at Old Trafford.
Things went from bad to worse for the Danish full-back when he was shown a straight red card following a dangerous tackle on Omari Hutchinson.

The horror challenge required VAR intervention before referee Darren England dismissed Dorgu.
It was a debut to forget for Ruben Amorim’s sole January signing, who now faces a suspension following his disastrous evening.
The early goal came from a catastrophic breakdown in communication between Dorgu and Onana.
A long ball down the right wing caused confusion as Dorgu attempted to pass back to his goalkeeper, only for the ball to roll past Onana.
This left Jaden Philogene with a simple tap-in to give Ipswich the lead.
Fans were scathing on social media, with one asking: “Where the f**k is Onana going?”

Dorgu’s evening deteriorated further when he was dismissed for a dangerous challenge on Hutchinson.
The defender caught the Ipswich forward high on the shin with his studs up, prompting VAR to recommend an on-field review.
Referee Darren England initially didn’t punish Dorgu but was summoned to the monitor before showing the red card.
“Red card, all day, every day,” declared Robbie Savage, who was commentating for TNT Sport.

The Premier League explained the decision on social media: “VAR recommended an on-field review for a possible red card to Dorgu for the challenge on Hutchinson – with the contact deemed serious foul play.”
The dismissal was described as a “horror challenge” by some observers, with the tackle leaving Hutchinson requiring treatment.
Fans on social media were unforgiving in their assessment of Dorgu’s performance.
“It was a certain red card for Patrick Dorgu, hard to understand how it took that long for the review,” one supporter wrote.
Another added: “Dorgu I don’t even know what to say about your performance today, you and Onana cost us this game big time!”
