Dianne Buswell has posted an endearing yet humorous farewell to her partner Joe Sugg as they parted ways following a ‘magical’ trip to South Africa. Earlier in the month, Dianne departed from the UK for a well-earned holiday after finishing her recent run on Strictly Come Dancing.
As avid viewers of the beloved dance competition will know, Dianne and her celebrity dance partner, comedian Chris McCausland, triumphed as champions of the 2024 season. After their tearful victory, Dianne spent the festive season with Joe and her family, who made the trip over from Australia, before launching into the new year with her Strictly colleagues for the live shows.
But now Dianna has jetted to South Africa with Joe for a friend’s nuptials following the Strictly live tour. The couple have also had the chance to take in the African landscape.
During one social media update, fans watched as Dianne and Joe embarked on a morning safari, where a video showcased the sunrise over the Western Cape leading up to an encounter with some local wildlife. Fans also got glimpses of giraffes and rhinos, as Dianne described the adventure with the caption: “The most magical experience #safari #southafrica @sanbonasafari #sanbonawildlifereserve,” reports the Manchester Evening News.
Dianne recently reminisced about her post-wedding trip on Instagram, labelling the ceremony as ‘beautiful’. She shared an array of snaps on her account, where she and Joe watched a stunning sunset during their celebration.
Their activities in Cape Town included horseback riding, kayaking, and leisurely exploring before parting ways, with Dianne later stating that she was in Brisbane. Over on TikTok, Dianne uploaded a touching montage featuring Joe hilariously defining his ‘dream’ woman as one who shares his sense of humour.
The video continued with a funny farewell scene of Joe comically pressing himself against a window, making faces as they bid each other goodbye. Accompanying the video, Dianne said: “This is how he said goodbye to me,” paired with a crying laughing emoji and a red heart. Her caption mirrored the sentiment: “Saying goodbye in our own little way [crying laughing and red heart emojis]. Miss him already!”
