Home Bargains is fast becoming the go-to spot for shoppers looking to spruce up their gardens in time for spring and there’s one charming item has been turning heads on social media recently. The store introduced Hattie the Highland Cow garden on Instagram.
As part of the post, a Home Bargains worker said: “Introducing Hattie, our adorable Highland cow. Who needs this cutie in their garden?” It quickly gained lots of attention from fans of the discount store who wanted to get straight down to their nearest store and pick up a ‘whole army’ of Hattie’s to add to their outdoor spaces.
The £9.99 figure, currently sold out online but still available in stores, could be your ‘new garden buddy’. Standing at 30cm tall, this “charming and durable decoration” adds personality and flair to any space.
The product description reads: “Bring a bit of countryside charm to your garden with our gorgeous Jardin Hattie The Highland Cow! This adorable cow adds a fun, rustic touch to your garden, balcony, or even indoors. Made to last, Hattie is built to handle the outdoors while still looking adorable. Her unique design makes her the perfect conversation starter and a lovely addition to any spot in your home or garden.”
Smaller versions are also available for £1.99 each to scatter around the garden, reports the Mirror. As spring approaches, customers were excited about what Home Bargains’ garden section had to offer
One said: “Oh my god! These are all the cutest little things ever!” Another added: “I’m highland cow obsessed and I need them all right now!”
A third wrote: “Please do not encourage me! I can’t resist the cuteness!” Someone else commented: “Stop it! I don’t even have a garden and I want these so much!”
Home Bargains has been praised for its recent range of garden items, including weather-resistant topiary animals made from artificial grass priced at £20. The store also relaunched some whimsical hot air balloons that double as solar lights, adding a colourful touch to outdoor spaces.

These popular items are set to return in 2025 with an even lower price tag. Shoppers can view the full range of garden items, including lights, decor, furniture and children’s toys on the Home Bargains website as they become available in stores.
Away from the garden, shoppers are loving the selection of other items. One was even backed by an ITV star as the best way to help ease a common cold symptom.
