Home Bargains has just dropped a new lip treatment in its skincare range, and it’s a steal with more than £13 off the original price. Known for its vast selection of affordable homeware, DIY supplies, pet products, food, and health and beauty items, Home Bargains is a go-to for those who appreciate essentials without the hefty price tag.

The store frequently offers ‘luxury’ items at a fraction of the cost, and the latest to hit the shelves is Charlie Tate London’s Peptide Lip Treatment. While you’d normally expect to fork out £15 for this product on the Charlie Tate website, savvy shoppers can save their pennies by heading to Home Bargains, where it’s priced at just £1.49 for a 14ml tube.

There’s a variety of flavours available, each designed to nourish your lips. For instance, the Toasted Vanilla Peptide Lip Treatment boasts a “warm creamy vanilla scent” and aims to provide “rich hydration for irresistibly soft and smooth lips”.

Meanwhile, the Iced Butterscotch Latte flavour offers a “coffee-fragranced moisturising lip treatment infused with peptides for soft, hydrated lips”. Alternatively, the Raspberry Spritz promises a “burst of juicy raspberry fragrance and revitalises your lip.”, reports the Mirror.

There are also Matcha Cream, Blueberry Lavender, and Sugared Rose flavours for those who fancy more options. Each brings a “soothing and indulgent aroma” to your lip care routine, ensuring your lips stay “soft and hydrated”.

A shopper named Kel highlighted the £1.49 lip treatment in a post on Facebook group, Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK. Showcasing her Home Bargains receipt alongside a screenshot of the product online, she exclaimed: “Had a little bargain today from HB’s.”

She added: “Still sold on the Charlie Tate website for £15. I got it in home bargains for £1.49! I have tried it and it’s lovely. Other flavours available too.” The bargain quickly became popular among group members, garnering many likes and comments.

Laura chimed in with her own experience, commenting: “I got the blueberry one a few weeks ago. I love it.” Similarly, Sammy shared: “I got the blueberry one today very good.”

Stacy said: “I got 3 different ones and they are amazing!” Another member made comparisons to one particular supermarket, saying: “If it’s anything to go by, Aldi do an [alternative] of the Rhode peptide treatment, and it’s amazing.”

An admin for the Facebook group Kel posted in, however, added: “Just a note like many of the Home Bargains beauty products, they are just phantom brands with websites at higher prices, so they can market the products RRP in-store. All the websites are set up on the same platform.”

This sparked various reactions, with one person responding: “Shocked how many don’t realise this but fair point to say.” Responding to this newfound knowledge, Kel admitted: “I had no idea… hadn’t ever heard of them in honesty, but it’s lovely quality so I do think £1.49 is fab.”

Elsewhere at Home Bargains, the discount retailer has created quite the buzz with its sandwich boxes, designed to keep your lunch fresh throughout the morning. Given the shape, the box is smaller than a regular lunch box, so it takes up less space in your bag and the office fridge.

On TikTok, @X.pinkgems.x loved the idea, writing: “Great little sandwich box for packed lunches.” Viewers were quick to agree, with one replying: “Great space saver in the pack lunch.”
