A popular north Belfast bar has announced a revamp to mark 25 years in business.
Murphy Browns Restaurant on the city’s Cavehill Road follows a major investment and refurbishment as they prepare to celebrate what the company said was a “significant milestone” in their history.
The eatery’s new design features family-style booths, with long-bench seating also added to cater for larger groups and celebrations.
Having previously been known for its “bring your own” policy – where customers supply their own alcohol – the restaurant is now fully licensed.
Proprietor John Weiniger said: “With Murphy Browns reaching its 25th anniversary, we felt this was the perfect time to reinvest in the restaurant and enhance the dining experience for our loyal customers.
“We take immense pride in being a household name in north Belfast, a community rich in spirit and tradition.
“Our customers are the heart of our business, and with the rise in Belfast tourism, we’re also welcoming more visitors who discover us online or after exploring Cavehill.

“As north Belfast continues to grow with new homes and businesses, Murphy Browns remains committed to strengthening its offering to the area.
