A new café with co-working office space could be set to open on one of Bristol’s most popular roads. Plans have been submitted for a new café, called Kin, to be located on Gloucester Road.

The café would be located at the former Salvation Army charity shop at 10-12 Gloucester Road, in Bishopston. The café would be located on the ground floor only, below the existing dentist.

Plans submitted to Bristol City Council show that canopies would be installed at the front of the building, leading into the café space and a seating area. There would be office space with seating for six people and a meeting room situated at the back of the building.

According to CGI drawings submitted, Little Green Rooms would be responsible for the café and co-working space. The Bristol brand, which specialises in designing and creating garden workrooms, is based within the city and has installed workrooms across the south of the UK.

Earlier this month, the council granted planning permission for the installation of the new shopfront and canopies. However, a second planning application is currently being considered for the installation of new signage and a decision is yet to be made. It is unknown when the new café would be open.

Earlier this month, two cafes on Gloucester Road were put onto the market. The Nectar House and Cafe Rhubarb– both highly reviewed by customers – were both listed.

Bristol Live reported that a new coffee shop is set to open at Eastgate Retail Park after planning permission was granted for a new unit to be installed. It would be located within the car park.
