Tackling condensation can be one of life’s most frustrating problems. Imagine waking up from a restful night’s sleep only to find your windows dripping with moisture.
In addition to the chore of drying clothes indoors during winter, the issue becomes even more annoying. This is where dehumidifiers come in – they may not be the most stylish appliances, but they’re great at removing excess moisture from the air.
One option worth considering is the Pro Breeze 25L Quiet Dehumidifier, which features a 6.5L water tank to store the liquid extracted from the air. Currently on sale at Debenhams with a 40% discount, its price has been reduced to £154.99 from £259.99.
This powerful device can extract 25L of water per day, making it suitable for larger spaces. With an average rating of four stars out of five, reviewers have been impressed with its performance, reports the Mirror.
One buyer said: “This has made a huge difference with the condensation in our room. The laundry setting is excellent, this has saved me using the tumble dryer. My son is thinking of upgrading his one to this, too. Nice and quiet too.”
Another said: “Brilliant bit of kit, especially if you live in an older property.” A third reviewer was delighted with the tank capacity, writing: “An excellent product – literally sucks water out of the air. Big tank smart design.”

However, one customer expressed mixed feelings, stating they were ‘neither completely satisfied nor dissatisfied’, and adding: “Only used a few times so far to dry washing. Doesn’t seem [to] dry the washing as I’d hoped. I’ve used it for dehumidification and again [it] seems to take a long time to have any effect. I’m quite disappointed thus far. It was expensive.”
Another customer voiced their dissatisfaction that the tank did not alert them when it was full. If you find Debenhams’ product a bit steep, the Russell Hobbs 10L dehumidifier might be a good alternative.
I personally own this product and can vouch for its effectiveness in reducing the need for tumble-drying clothes. Currently, it’s available on Amazon with £35.99 off at £89.99, which is significantly cheaper than Dunelm‘s price of £129, although Amazon is advising of a shipping delay.
According to price comparison website CamelCamelCamel, the average price of this dehumidifier is £125.35, and a year ago, it was as high as £169. In fact, over recent years, it’s only been slightly cheaper a couple of times towards the end of last year.
So, if you’re in the market for a reliable dehumidifier, now might be the perfect time to invest. Alternatively, if you’re working with a tighter budget, Amazon offers a wide range of dehumidifiers, including the 2200ML Dehumidifier for Bedroom, currently discounted from £69.99 to £59.99.
