Mike Tindall has revealed his desire to join the celebrity edition of The Great British Bake Off, describing himself as a “big fan” of the Channel 4 show.
The 46-year-old royal, who previously competed on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity in 2022, is keen to swap his rugby boots for a baker’s apron.
Mike has already established himself in the television world, having appeared on shows including The Jump and Bear Grylls: Mission Survive.
His stint on I’m A Celebrity saw him finish in fourth place behind Matt Hancock, Owen Warner and Jill Scott.

Since retiring from rugby in 2014, Tindall has maintained a media presence through his popular podcast, The Good, The Bad & The Rugby, which he co-hosts with fellow former rugby star James Haskell.
The royal and former rugby player has already demonstrated his baking prowess, having showcased his brownie-making skills on social media during lockdown five years ago.
Speaking to The Times, Tindall revealed his preference for baking over cooking: “I don’t cook because I’m not skilled enough, but I’m more of a baker.
“I’m good at making bread and butter puddings and brownies.”

The royal first met his wife Zara Tindall during the 2003 Rugby World Cup in Australia, after being introduced by Prince Harry.
They pair celebrated their wedding in Edinburgh with a star-studded ceremony.
Mike and Zara have since welcomed three children together – Mia, Lena and Lucas.
The royal recently guest-edited a special edition of Beano comic to mark Bananaman’s 45th anniversary.

The commemorative issue, which went on sale on Wednesday, saw Mike team up with Britain’s favourite potassium-powered superhero in a new adventure.
The rugby legend appears in cartoon form alongside Bananaman as they battle to save Beanotown from chaos.
Mike said: “It’s been brilliant to step into the world of Beano and join Bananaman on this epic adventure. I loved reading Beano growing up, and now being able to share that with my own kids is really cool.”
