A tourist attraction which was last seen three years ago near Bristol will be opening tomorrow near the city centre. The Upside Down House, which has previously been delayed with no opening date in site, will be opening within the Harbourside at 10am after months of speculation.

The quirky house, designed as a family-friendly attraction with a great opportunity for photos, was constructed at the end of January with a view to opening this month. It sits beside We the Curious and the Bristol Wheel.

The house is painted a “bold magenta” to reflect the houses of Cliftonwood and slightly slanted. A ticket booth is connected to the house for visitors to purchase tickets on the day. It will be the only Upside Down House within the south west and the 12th site across the UK and will mark the attraction’s return to the region since leaving Cribbs Causeway.

Alex Barbary, Associate Director at Upside Down House UK, said in January: “We are thrilled to be opening a brand new location in the heart of Bristol, and the only one in the South West. Bristol’s quirky blend of culture and entertainment, makes it the perfect setting for our unique attraction.

“With less than a month until we officially open, we are very excited for the year ahead and look forward to working closely with We The Curious and neighbouring businesses to create an even greater destination for locals and visitors to enjoy.”

The attraction will be open everyday of the week. The attraction will open from 10am to 6pm Monday to Friday, and 10am to 8pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets are £6.45 per person, excluding online fees, but can be purchased on the day.

The two-storey building is partially accessible for wheelchairs due to the layout of the house. A temporary ramp will be installed leading to the ground floor but the upper floor is only accessible via a spiral staircase.
