The weather may still be gloomy, but spring is not far away, and many will already be planning their spring and summer wardrobes. With this in mind, M&S shoppers are raving about one particular garment that will be ‘perfect for summertime’ and is less than £30.

The Cotton Blend Crew Neck Short Jumper has people praying for warmer days so they have the opportunity to wear it, as the garment is ideal for layering during those cool summer evenings.

It is crafted from a super-soft cotton blend yarn, with a hint of wool for added warmth, and knitted in a regular fit, complete with a timeless crew neckline. The jumper also boasts an open-stitch design for a textured look, ensuring it is breathable and not too hot or heavy as we head towards warmer seasons.

It sits at a cute, short length of 55cm from neck to hem for a standard size 12, and looks great over a casual pair of jeans with a chunky belt, or layered over vests, breezy summer dresses, or even swimwear. The M&S Crew Neck Jumper is available in two colourways – Ivory or Orange – and in all sizes from XS to XL.

Best of all, the summer knitwear costs just £29.50, meaning you could easily stock up on both colours without breaking the bank. The jumper has garnered an overall near-perfect rating of 4.8 stars out of five on the M&S website, with shoppers praising the flattering fit and how “versatile” the garment is.

One happy customer said: “Lovely comfortable, stylish, and flattering jumper. Can be worn now with a cami or thermal vest underneath. Will be very versatile coming into spring and summer.”

Another added: “This is a perfect layering jumper for the transition to spring/summer. I got the marmalade colour and didn’t wait to wear it! Bring on the good weather.”

A third shopper said: “This is the jumper for all seasons, will be cool enough in warmer weather but also fine for now with something underneath for extra warmth. It’s a lovely jumper, would recommend.”

And a fourth wrote: “Good value and quality, can’t wait for warmer weather to show it off.”

However, a couple of shoppers felt that the sleeves of the jumper were too long, as one said: “I really like this cotton jumper and will be great to wear now and into the spring. I bought the extra small as it seems to come up large, and the sleeves are still a bit long, but it is a shorter, boxy shape which suits me.”

And another added: “Strange sleeves. I tried this jumper on in my local store yesterday. Nice length, good fit, good price, and I loved the colour – however, the sleeves were designed for an orangutan!

“I don’t have unusually short arms, but I had to roll them up three times to get to a sensible length, which made them very bulky and would probably have unravelled anyway. Didn’t buy, but very disappointed as there was a lot to like. I’m surprised nobody else has mentioned this in a review.”

If the M&S jumper doesn’t take your fancy, you could always try the Green Ombre Open Knitwork Jumper from Roman, now 21% off with the price reduced from £38 to £30. Or Mango has this Combined Crochet Sweater which is currently half-price, down from £35.99 to £17.99.
