A dress from Boden that has been reduced by more than £100 has been praised for being ‘stunningly beautiful’. Costing £46.50 down from £155, the Martha Godet Maxi Shirt Dress is a real head turner thanks to its elegant yet fun design, with some shoppers saying it makes them feel like ‘a million dollars’.

The navy shirt-style dress, which comes to a midi length, has been designed with two additional pops of colour, pink and green, and is decorated all over in dainty white polka dots, making it a real statement piece. With the pink highlighted in the collar, matching waist tie belt (which is detachable) and fitted cuffs, the dress also features a green button-down front, which is complimented by its flare skirt, which has pleats of the same colour.

A really fun celebration of colour, the predominantly navy and white polka dot dress is finished with romantic blouson sleeves that gives the dress a timeless style. Plus, the dress comes complete with side pockets for those essentials. With a shirt-inspired shape and lightweight finish , the dress is swishy and can be worn for a whole host of events, from days in the office with some ballet pumps or loafers or for meals out with heels or your favourite boots.

Available in petite and regular lengths, the dress still has sizes 4 to 16 available. With 18-22 out of stock, it’s certainly been a hit with shoppers – even more so with the sale price knocking £108.50 off.

Those who have already snapped up the dress can’t stop complimenting its design, with one sharing: “Lovely dress, some real weight to it. Hangs very well. Perfect fit.” Another gushed about the dress: ” In love with this dress, the design – the material stunningly beautifully – I feel a million dollars wearing it.”

A third shared how they’d been stopped in the street over her dress and said: “Excellent cut and lovely vibrant colours! I had millions of compliments from everyone on the road on trains and underground! Some people stopped and asked where I got the dress from! I am between 5ft 3″ – 5ft 4″ and bought a petite size 6 UK- and this dress did fit just perfect! Not too long and I can wear it with my flat shoes.”

“This is a very classy dress. It stands out because of the colours,” added one more shopper. “If you love beautiful classic clothes with a twist that no one else will have, then you will definitely want this dress.

While the design has been praised, some found the sizing a little off, with a word of warning coming from one fashion fan who remarked: “Boden – I have your size 14 dresses from 5/10 years ago that still fit me and yet now I order a 16 and, once again, it still does not fit!! I am a bit chubbier I admit but your sizing is completely weird….lovely fabric but again, waist too high if you have a bust and way too tight!”

Echoing this, one three-star review commented: “This dress was absolutely beautiful, lovely vibrant colours, just what I was looking for. Unfortunately, as some other reviewers have commented, the fit across the chest is very small and only suited for someone fairly flat-chested, which was very disappointing. Reluctantly have had to return.”

If you enjoy unique and colourful prints, Joanie Clothing is another option if Boden’s collection doesn’t take your fancy. For example, its Andi Woodland Print Shirt Dress is adorned in an all-over woodland print, making it playful. Costing £69, the shirt comes in sizes 8 to 26.
