Former Gogglebox star Amy, who was part of one of the original favourites on the Channel 4 show – the Tapper family, has celebrated a huge milestone as she marked the loss of five stone since starting her weight loss journey.

The 24-year-old announced back in 2022 she’d be starting a major lifestyle change, with supportive fans cheering her on as she maintains a loyal social media following despite the family having been off-screens since 2018.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, February 12, Tapper shared some before and after snaps, detailing the noticeable difference she’s achieved in her health journey.

She penned: “Officially 5 stone down and I couldn’t be happier. Never thought I’d be able to reach this milestone so I think I can say I’m proud of myself.”

She ended the post: “Thank you for being by my side throughout it all @tashelite.fitness (swipe for our reaction today).”

The former TV star also shared a clip of her fitness instructor celebrating with her after Tapper stepped onto the scales to reveal the milestone goal.

Her personal trainer is seen smiling with her fingers crossed as Tapper steps onto the scales before both women celebrate with a hug.

Fans in the comments section were quick to applaud Tapper, with one writing: “Amazing.”

“Keep going well done,” a second shared, while another added: “You look amazing!!!”

“Phenomenal my girl,” another noted, each comment accompanied by clapping hand emojis and love hearts.

“Omg you look amazing and so pretty,” a different Instagram user penned.

Others wrote: “Incredible,” “Looking great” and “Love this well done xxxxx go smash it”. (sic)

Tapper has shared frequent updates during her health journey, which she admitted was purred on by her feeling “embarrassed”.

“The hardest times were when I was made to feel embarrassed,” she reflected recently.

“Whenever I was on a plane I’d have to ask for an extension for my belt,” the reality star told the Daily Star.

She added: “When I went to Disney with my family, me and my dad had to sit in a different row on a ride because we needed bigger seats.

“When things like that happen it’s horrible. It makes you feel like you’re not normal.”

Sharing some details about her new lifestyle, she’s previously stated she’s following the Muscle Food diet plan and exercising three times a week with her personal trainer.

Her typical diet includes protein granola pots, fat-free yoghurt, noodles and pasta.
