A man has been arrested and heroin has been seized from a premises in South Bristol. Officers from the Bedminster Neighbourhood Policing Team were on patrol on Monday, February 10.

While out, they saw criminal activity connected with an address near Dean Crescent, Avon and Somerset Police said. A man in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a class A drug.

Officers seized amounts of suspected heroin and cannabis from the property, as well as money and mobile phones. The man has been questioned and released on bail while enquiries continue.

Sergeant Ben Spence, of the Bedminster neighbourhood team, said: “We know how much our communities value proactive high-visibility patrols and we will continue to carry them out to both prevent crime and act on any potential criminal activity.

“Drug supply causes misery and we will continue to relentless pursue those trying to profit from it.”
