An 89-year-old man is in critical condition with hypothermia after he was found outside of a long-term care seniors residence early Wednesday.

Montreal police said they were called to the scene on Marie-Victorin St. south of Maurice-Duplessis Blvd. by a 911 call received at about 7:30 p.m.
The man was taken to hospital where he remained listed in critical condition Wednesday morning.
Montreal police spokesperson Véronique Dubuc said an investigation had been launched to determine how the man got outside and whether criminal negligence was a factor in the incident.
