Spring is just over a month away, but in true British fashion, the cold and grey winter weather is showing little sign of lifting. So if you’re looking for the perfect transitional garment to add to your wardrobe right now, Uniqlo has you covered.
The 3D Knit Cotton Crew Neck Jumper has been praised by Uniqlo shoppers as being “perfect for in-between seasons”, with its relaxed fit making it easy to layer the cotton sweatshirt with either a short- or long-sleeved t-shirt underneath for extra warmth.
The casual yet stylish jumper is patterned with six horizontal stripes across the body and the sleeves, and is super-soft to the touch. And Uniqlo recommends keeping the jumper folded, as hanging it on a coathanger may change its shape or dimensions.
The Crew Neck Jumper is available in all sizes from XXS to XXL, and comes in three colours – olive green with black stripes, white with black stripes, or black with white stripes.
Usually, the jumper would cost you £34.90, but Uniqlo has slashed almost 30% off the price of the olive jumper now, saving you £10 and bringing the item down to £24.90.
Shoppers seem to think this is a bargain, as the jumper has been rated an overall 4.9 stars out of five on the Uniqlo website, with some customers snapping it up in multiple colours.
One happy customer raved: “This seamless basic top is incredibly comfortable, and a great addition to any wardrobe. The design is simple yet stylish, and the seamless construction makes it feel light and soft on the skin. I’d describe the fit as oversized, which adds to its cosy and relaxed vibe. Overall, it’s a fantastic choice for layering or for milder seasons.”
Another added: “I’ve had three of these sweaters since last year. I wear them very regularly and have washed them often. The pure cotton material holds up perfectly, no lint, no visible wear. The cut is timelessly beautiful.
“In cold weather I wear a Heattech long-sleeve in the same colour underneath, which means they can be worn almost all year round. This also alleviates the problem of the sleeves being a bit short and wide for me. A great basic, great value for money, highly recommended.”
A third wrote: “I love stripes, so I bought this jumper to wear in the summer and it never failed. It was my jumper of the summer, I never took it off, I wore it with everything. It has incredible quality and it is perfect for those cool nights.”
And others agreed that it is a “perfect” all-seasons jumper, with one writing: “Perfect for in-between seasons or to wear over a shirt, it looks great”, while another added: “It is a perfect sweater for autumn and spring. It is very comfortable and elegant, and the colour is very pretty.”
In fact, there was very little criticism of the Uniqlo jumper, although one shopper noted: “Fabric is fragile and quickly catches if you are not careful.”
