Amanda Owen sparked frustration among her fans recently after promoting a repeat episode of Our Farm Next Door on Channel 4.

The 50-year-old shared photographs from the series on Saturday, announcing it’d be broadcast at 7:10pm with the caption: “Our Farm Next Door. How it started. Here’s how you can follow our journey, the highs, lows and the even lowers.”

The Channel 4 series first aired on More 4 in October 2024, with five episodes showing the ambitious renovation project.

The highly anticipated series follows Amanda and Clive Owen as they renovate a derelict 1800s farmhouse known as Anty Johns – with the help of their children.

While the final episode made it clear there was still work to be done at Anty Johns, Owen has been keen to keep her viewers updated on her social media channels.

However, after the Instagram post on Saturday, many were left let down when they realised it was a repeat episode and quickly flooded their disappointment on the comment section.

One confused and slightly annoyed viewer simply asked: “Why’s it being repeated already?”

“Is this a repeat or new series?” questioned another viewer before a third replied: “This is a repeat, when will we see the next series please?”

One saddened viewer said: “I was hoping to see a new series but it was a repeat. How long will it be for the next series?

“That is the question everyone is asking but not sure why nobody seems to know.”

Others were keen to get updates on the renovation progress, with one commenting: “As this is a repeat will we see a second series or at least an update on how the renovation is going after the first series?”

“There were only 5 episodes, we need more to see how it’s going,” another fan added, highlighting viewers’ eagerness for new content. (sic)

To the delight of fans, Channel 4 has confirmed there are five additional episodes yet to be broadcast.

However, the air date for these new instalments remains unannounced, leaving many waiting for updates on the renovation project.

The original series proved to be a ratings success for More 4, following the format of the Owens’ hit Channel 5 show Our Yorkshire Farm.

Their former TV series ran for five series between 2018 and 2022 and documented their life at Ravenseat Farm with their nine children.

Despite Amanda and Clive Owen’s separation in June 2022 after 22 years of marriage, the pair have maintained a strong professional relationship.

The former couple continue to work closely together, both co-parenting their children and collaborating on their television projects.

Their ability to maintain this working partnership has allowed for the continued production of Our Farm Next Door and to get the work at Anty John’s done quickly.
