Modern-day parents have come on leaps and bounds in comparison to previous generations of parents who came beforehand. This article looks at how parents of the past did the best they could with the knowledge and resources they had at the time — highlighting that the emphasis is not for us to look back in resentment on what they did not know or what they did not do, but instead to look at it from an empathetic viewpoint and appreciate they did the best with what they knew at the time.
