FHO Racing has been rocked by the news that both Peter Hickman and Davey Todd will leave the team ahead of their return to the North West 200 in 2025.

The Faye Ho-owned team looked like a formidable force after Todd was recruited in November 2024 to join forces with Hickman, but that partnership has come to an end after just three months.

Following speculation of a rift within the team, the pair’s exits were confirmed on Monday, with FHO Racing continuing with Ilya Mikhalchik in the British Superbike Championship.

Both Hickman and Todd will instead ride on factory-supported BMW M1000RR machinery after joining new team 8TEN Racing, who will be in action on both the British Superbike and road racing fronts.

Fourteen-time Isle of Man TT winner Hickman took to social media to express his gratitude to FHO Racing throughout his four-year spell with the team.

“I want to say a massive thank you to Faye and FHO Racing for everything she has done for me over the last four years,” he said.

“As is normal with racing, we’ve have mega highs and disappointing lows throughout, but FHO has and always will be a huge part of my racing career and I’m forever grateful for that opportunity.

“Now starts another new chapter with team-mate Davey Todd at 8Ten Racing and BMW Motorrad UK. More news to come later this month, but to say I’m excited would be an understatement.

“Huge thanks to all my sponsors and supporters both present and past, let’s make 2025 an unforgettable one.”

It was confirmed in December that FHO Racing would return to the North West, taking place from May 5-10, 2025, following a two-year absence.

In 2023, Ho withdrew the team from the event when Hickman and Josh Brookes were prevented from competing in the opening Superstock race as the carbon wheels on their M1000RR machines were deemed ineligible per Motor Cycle Union of Ireland (Ulster Centre) regulations.

Hickman continued to ride his own PHR Performance machinery with Ho’s blessing in both 2023 and 2024, with FHO Racing opting not to return for the latter before a deal was struck with North West race chief Mervyn Whyte that would have seen Hickman and Todd line out for the team in 2025.
