BBC Breakfast viewers were left less than enthused when they tuned in to catch up on the day’s news and instead found extensive coverage of Super Bowl LIX. Frustration grew as sports reporter Nesta McGregor delivered updates from New Orleans, where the Philadelphia Eagles had clinched a victory over Kansas City Chiefs with a score of 40-22.

Audiences quickly voiced their discontent on social media platforms. One viewer questioned, “No surprise to see BBC Breakfast sports reporter in New Orleans for the Super Bowl, but was it really necessary?”

Another stated: “Oh no not coverage of the superbowl.”

A third person echoed the sentiment asking, “So it’s all about the Super bowl this morning? ” Others expressed a preference for local sports, with one irate fan commenting, “I don’t give a f**k about The Superbowl. Just stick to reporting the glorious cup victories for Plymouth and Queens Park.”

And another shifted the focus back to football, remarking, “What Super Bowl? it was the FA Cup yesterday, the only game that really matters,” reports the Express.

In the midst of these reactions, Taylor Swift’s appearance at the Super Bowl also caught significant attention. Captured on the big screen, her image provoked an unexpected wave of jeers from the audience.

Standing next to Ice Spice, the Grammy-winning artist appeared surprised but took the moment in stride, laughing and asking, “Aww what, what’s going on? ” despite the apparent cold reception.

Donald Trump weighed in on the situation via social media, remarking that Swift experienced a “tougher night” than the defeated Chiefs. According to sources, the boos directed at the ‘Bad Blood’ singer profoundly affected Travis, who reportedly felt “helpless” and “heartbroken” as he watched it unfold.

As per a Daily Mail source: “”Travis was aware of Taylor getting booed and he felt helpless. Seeing the look on her face got to him. He always protects her and it broke his heart. He was already having a tough night, and the predominantly Eagles fans in the stadium didn’t help. Travis knows this incident hurt her, and it’s obvious to anyone.”
