Brits can jet away on a luxurious Valentine’s Day escape for a week in the Spanish heat for £800 – but there is one catch. A resort in Gran Canaria exclusively for nudists is helping people celebrate the most romantic day of the year – on February 14 – without clothes.

With an average temperature of 20C and above in the later winter, the climate is a lot friendlier than the frosty UK. For £800-per-head, nudists can fly away on February 13 for seven nights. The resort offers luxurious suites, breakfast and a huge pool – where skinny dipping is encouraged.

The four star hotel’s package also offers a free bus ride down to the local nudist beach. One naturist said: “Sounds like a great Valentine’s Day.” Another added: “Counting down the days.”
