The latest installment of Dancing On Ice left viewers frustrated as another celebrity was forced to hang up their skates.
Hosts Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern presented the live show on Sunday (February 9), which saw contestants like Chris Taylor, Sam Aston, and Charlie Brooks vying for the judges’ and audience’s approval with their skating prowess.
However, it was Anton Ferdinand and his professional partner Annette Dytrt who found themselves in the skate-off against Chris Taylor and Robin Johnstone.
Anton’s energetic performance to Ricky Martin’s hit song Livin’ la Vida Loca was pitted against Chris’s routine to Golden Hour by JVKE. Unfortunately, one of them had to bid farewell to the competition.

The judges, comprising Ashley Banjo, Oti Mabuse, and Christopher Dean, opted to save Anton, with Jayne Torvill also expressing her preference for the ex-footballer. This decision led to Chris’s elimination, much to the dismay of some viewers.
Fans of the show took to social media to express their discontent, with some claiming that Chris was their top pick to win.
One disgruntled viewer tweeted: “This is rigged #DOI”, while another lamented: “No way! That’s sad. Chris was my number 1.#DOI”, reports the Mirror.

A third fan chimed in: “I am so sad Chris went home – I wanted Chris to win #DancingOnIce #DOI@dancingonice.”
Another viewer sympathised with Chris, saying: “Sorry to see that chap go. Don’t know who he is but his skate was lovely. #doi”.
This elimination follows the departure of Hollyoaks star Chelsee Healey, who was the first celebrity to be eliminated from Dancing on Ice, along with her professional skating partner Andy Buchanan.
Ferne McCann, partnered with Brendyn Hatfield, was the next celebrity to be eliminated from Dancing On Ice during Week 3. Following her exit, Sir Steve Redgrave became the third star to leave the competition on Sunday, February 2.
Dancing on Ice currently airs live every Sunday on ITV and ITVX
