The Chase star Bradley Walsh was left stunned when one contestant revealed their unexpected connection as she asked the ITV host, “Remember me? ”
During Friday’s (February 8) episode, four new contestants had come to challenge one of Britain’s top quizzers. James, Suzanne, Sarah, and Arash took on Darragh “The Menace” Ennis with hopes of nabbing a significant cash prize.
Sarah was the first to go but lost in her showdown with the Chaser. Arash was next, sadly following the same fate after The Menace showed his prowess. However, it was Suzanne’s words that truly caught Bradley off guard.

Known for his light-hearted banter before each contestant’s round, the 64-year-old presenter was about to engage in the usual chit-chat when baker and cake seller Suzanne interjected with a remark that left him momentarily lost for words: “I’m surprised you don’t remember me,” she said, prompting a puzzled expression from Bradley.
Her recollection continued as she specified, “Me and you have met before, 1996, Glasgow.”
And then the bombshell, “I’ve got a 26-year old daughter, I thought you might remember.” These claims evidently threw the usually quick-witted host for a loop, leaving him to rack his brains over how Suzanne might know him.
Bradley Walsh was taken aback during a recent episode when he exclaimed, “What is going on! ” after a contestant revealed a surprising connection to him. The contestant, who appeared calm, explained she had been on the Wheel of Fortune quiz show back in 1996, which Bradley had also hosted.

Curious, Bradley inquired about her winnings from that time, leading her to reveal: “Ten grand and a trip to Milan.” The atmosphere grew tense, noted by Chaser Darragh Ennis, making Bradley slightly uneasy. Darragh, also known as The Menace, aimed to lighten the mood with a quip.
Addressing the player Suzanne, he remarked: “So you’ve been on a quiz show with Brad before.” His jibe continued, playfully suggesting: “Which means he’s hosted a quiz before, you can never tell.”
Amidst the humorous banter, Suzanne boldly chose to take Darragh’s high-stake offer of £50,000. Yet, despite her former success on “Wheel of Fortune,” she did not find the same fortune in The Chase and was defeated by The Menace.
Subsequently, only James remained to contest the final chase, with an impressive £80,000 at stake. Alone against The Chaser, he faced an uphill battle and was ultimately caught with 48 seconds left on the clock.
The Chase airs weekdays from 5pm on ITV and ITVX
