A 46-year-old man faces eight charges, including attempted murder, for an incident involving two women in Scarborough more than six years ago.

Toronto Police allege a man entered the residence in a highrise on Trudelle St. – near McCowan Rd. and Eglinton Ave. E. – around 6 p.m. on Nov. 23, 2018, and assaulted a woman who was known to him.

It’s further alleged the man then stabbed a female youth numerous times with an edged weapon before fleeing the scene. An extensive search to find the assailant proved unsuccessful.

Police say the suspect was located and arrested by authorities in Guyana on Dec. 20, 2024. He was detained and later transported back to Canada.

Harry Rajkumar, of Toronto, also faces two counts each of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and failure to comply with a recognizance order, plus one count each of disobeying court order and failure to appear in court.
