The Chase viewers were left fuming on Friday (February 7), with one exclaiming “what on earth”, as a contestant faced an “insane” loss.
Today’s episode of the hit ITV gameshow saw Sarah, Arash, Suzanne and James team up to win a hefty cash prize.
41-year-old optical advisor Sarah was up first, and impressively earned £6,000 in her cash builder. Upon meeting Darragh Ennis, aka The Menace, Sarah chose to stick with the middle offer.
She started off strong, answering several questions correctly – leaving a huge gap between herself and the chaser. However, Sarah’s game soon started to fall apart, particularly after a punctuation question – that many fans felt was “obvious”.
After the player was caught in shocking fashion, viewers quickly took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their surprise, with one writing: “How on earth did she lose that?”
“Absolute insane choke,” another added, while a third said: “What just happened?”
