Think you don’t need a pink hot chocolate in your life? It might be time to reconsider. Galaxy has dropped a new pink hot chocolate that’s causing quite the sensation on social media, and rightly so. Eager to sample the trending £2.75 drink, I jumped at the chance to give it a go—and it exceeded my expectations.
I found it delightful, and the three friends I invited to taste it were equally impressed. While some had doubts about the unconventional colour, it’s perfect for making a bold statement, especially if you’re planning a Galentine’s Day bash. Most importantly, it tastes great, too.
“It’s really nice,” according to my first tester, and everyone else agreed. While you might expect the drink to taste of strawberries or a similar fruit, you’d be mistaken. It’s a classic white hot chocolate flavour. Nonetheless, it’s just as sweet as it looks. So, it might not be for everyone.
However, social media users love the flavour, reports the Mirror. Responding to Dansway Gifts and Bargains UK’s Facebook post about the drink, one fan said: “Got this yesterday it’s lush.” Another added: “Tried it today and it’s lovely not too sweet or sickly either.”
On TikTok, @Kerry..1 shared their first impressions, writing: “It was really nice.” Another TikTok user @Whatlaurenfound found the hot chocolate tasted “really sweet”.
On Instagram, @Another_snack_reviewer added: “This is a white hot chocolate and it’s definitely on the sweet side (and if I’m saying that then you can be sure of it). I would perhaps stick to a milk chocolate personally but this was fun for a change- purely because it’s pink!”
I’ve definitely got a sweet tooth, so I served my cream with a dash of whipped cream. I won’t make it an everyday drink, but it’s a fun treat, and now I’m looking forward to trying more of Galaxy’s flavours.
For instance, there’s a Galaxy Fudge Brownie Flavour Hot Chocolate available from Tesco’s website, and there’s a Galaxy Gingerbread Hot Chocolate on Home Bargain’s website. Galaxy Pink Hot Chocolate is available from Home Bargains, B&M and Heron Foods.
