Steve Bannon has launched a scathing attack on Elon Musk, accusing the tech billionaire of attempting to discredit Nigel Farage to divert attention from his stance on H-1B visas.
Speaking on GBN America, the former White House Chief Strategist branded Musk a “globalist” and criticised his recent comments about the Reform UK leader.
“What I didn’t like is Elon, to get away from losing here on H1-B Visas and people saying ‘I thought you were a nationalist, now you’re a globalist’, he went there [Britain] and tried to blow up Nigel,” Bannon said.
The clash between Musk and Farage emerged after the Tesla CEO expressed support for Reform UK whilst simultaneously suggesting Farage should step down as leader.

A recent Opinium poll found that 53 per cent of the British public believe Musk is having a negative impact on UK politics, with just 12 per cent viewing his involvement positively.
Bannon expressed support for both Farage and Tommy Robinson in his GBN America appearance.
“I’m a huge supporter of Tommy Robinson and I’ve got a lot of grief,” Bannon stated, defending the controversial activist.
He praised Robinson’s message, saying: “The fight he had at its core was to tell the truth that what we had to face, particularly about certain elements of radical Islam and certain elements of Islamic society that can’t just be stamped down.”
Bannon committed to meeting Robinson upon his release from prison, whilst acknowledging: “He’s got some rough edges.”
The former Trump strategist maintained that Farage is “clearly the leader” and “very upfront”.
Recent polling data has revealed mixed sentiments among Reform UK voters regarding the public disagreement between Musk and Farage.
A poll by Friderichs Advisory and JL Partners showed Farage maintaining strong support with a +77 rating among Reform UK voters.
Musk also retained some popularity with Reform supporters, achieving a +13 rating.
However, Tommy Robinson, whose support by Musk sparked tension with Farage, received a negative rating of -5 from Reform UK voters.
The data appears to vindicate Farage’s position, with 57 per cent of Reform UK voters supporting his decision to distance himself from Robinson, compared to 21 per cent who disagreed.
