A police officer suffered serious injuries after being bitten by a dog at a property in Ibstock.
The incident occurred when two officers visited an address on Lewis Close to speak with resident Aden Hollyoake.
Shocking footage captured the moment of the attack. The officers were greeted at the door by Hollyoake’s partner, Shanell Lawrence.
Lawrence allowed the officers to enter after they explained they wanted to speak about Hollyoake. She informed the officers that while there were dogs in the house, they were secured in the kitchen.
Less than a minute after entering, while one officer was speaking with Lawrence in the doorway between the hall and lounge, disaster struck.
The dog suddenly forced its way through the closed kitchen door, rushed through the lounge and attacked the officer standing in the doorway.
