Former Liverpool heroes have singled out Northern Ireland international Conor Bradley for praise after another dazzling performance at Anfield.

Bradley provided the assist for Dominik Szoboszlai’s finish during the 4-0 win over Tottenham as the holders booked their place in the final of the Carabao Cup.

The 4-1 aggregate victory fired the Premier League leaders into the decider against Newcastle United at Wembley on Sunday, March 16.

Triumph in the EFL Cup would present Dutch manager Arne Slot with a first piece of silverware at Anfield.

Former Dungannon United Youth ace Bradley showed again why there is no reason for the club to be concerned over Trent Alexander-Arnold’s possible departure.

His Anfield future remains uncertain, amid interest from Real Madrid when his current contract runs out this summer.

Former Reds defender Jamie Carragher said: “There is only one man at Liverpool that does not want Trent Alexander-Arnold to sign a new contract – Conor Bradley.

“If Trent moves on he needs to be Liverpool’s right-back.

“I don’t think Liverpool should go and buy a big right-back for a lot of money. What that lad has done when he has filled in has been that good. If that is his level there are not many better right-backs in the Premier League.”

Former midfielder Jamie Redknapp added: “Anyone who understands football knows that Conor Bradley is a great talent.

“He is fearless and has the world at his feet. When young players come through at the club they have that bit of spite about them and I love the way he plays.”

Bradley, who has 23 Northern Ireland caps, said: “I loved it. We knew it was going to be a difficult game. We are buzzing to get through to the final.

“It was different to what we were expecting, but it was difficult in the first half to break them down.

“I’m sure he (Arne Slot) is buzzing with it. It is his first attempt to get there (Wembley) and he has got there.

“I am happy for him and he has been unbelievable since he has come in.

“He has developed me a lot and I’m really happy to play under him.”
