Budget-conscious shoppers seeking to infuse their homes with luxurious scents will love the range if candles and diffusers at Lidl, which have been compared to those offered by luxe lifestyle brand Rituals. And if you scan the Lidl Plus App, you can get them even more cheaply.
Lidl’s Ceremony of Scent collection boasts three fragrances; Green Garden, Dark Oud or Rich Amber, all presented in stylish packaging making them an ideal gift. Customers can opt for either the Deluxe Ceremony of Scent Candle or the Deluxe Ceremony of Scent Diffuser, both retailing at £3.99.
However, if you download the Lidl Plus app and visit the store before February 12, you can enjoy a 15% discount on candles and diffusers from Lidl’s Deluxe range, reducing the price to a mere £3.39.

In contrast, a standard sized scented candle from Rituals is priced at £24.90, although it is slightly larger at 290g compared to Lidl’s 200g version. Ritual’s mini diffuser sticks typically cost £18.90, but are currently available for £14.50. The mini size is 70ml, while Lidl’s product is 100ml.
Fans have taken to social media to draw comparisons between the Lidl versions and Rituals. In a video comment, one said: “I bought the green one and it’s exactly the same scent as the rituals green one” – referring to Rituals’ The Ritual of Jing collection. The Green Garden scent is a blend of freesia, sandalwood, and dry amber.
