A person has been taken to hospital after a bus collided with a pedestrian in Kingswood. Emergency services were called to the A420 Regent Street at around 3.30pm today (Thursday, February 6) to reports of a collision involving a bus and a pedestrian.

The road was closed while emergency services were at the scene, with buses diverted and long delays in the area. Avon and Somerset Police said a person has been taken to hospital by the South Western Ambulance Service following the crash.

Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, a spokesperson for the force added. The A420 has since reopened.

Avon and Somerset Police said: “We were called at around 3.30pm today (Thursday 6 February) to Regent Street, in Kingswood, following a report of a collision between a bus and a pedestrian.

“One person has been taken to hospital by ambulance, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. The road was closed while emergency services attended but has since reopened.”
