Paige Spiranac has made the trip down to the Big Easy for the Super Bowl and, when it comes to making her pick for the Super Bowl, it came pretty easy.
The golf influencer has been in New Orleans this week to take part in the festivities with the Kansas City Chiefs facing the Philadelphia Eagles in Sunday’s big game.
While Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and the Chiefs attempt to become the first team in NFL history to win three straight Super Bowls, the Eagles have been on an incredible run of their own, having lost just one game since late September.
The teams also met in the Super Bowl two years ago, with the Chiefs triumphing 38-35.
While making her selection for Sunday’s game, Spiranac didn’t dive too deep into the X’s and O’s, sticking with her personal connections to the teams.
“It’s funny, I was at the Super Bowl two years ago when the Chiefs played the Eagles. So I guess every time I come, they’re just gonna play each other,” the blonde bombshell told the Daily Mail.
“My parents are from Pittsburgh and it’s hard to root for the Eagles as a Pittsburgh (Steelers) fan. Even though (Eagles star running back) Saquon Barkley is so easy to root for. He seems like such a kind and humble human being.
“But I’m also a Taylor Swift fan, so I think that’s going to be why I’m going to back the Chiefs. It’d be cool to see history made.”
Spiranac, who boasts more than five million followers across her social media accounts, is in New Orleans with SportsGrid. The site recently launched Las Paigeas – a clever play on Spiranac’s name and Las Vegas — in the build towards the Super Bowl, which is a destination for fantasy gambling.
She has shared clips of herself this week at the Caesars Superdome for media day, including her attempts to try to get to the front of the crowds to question players.
Spiranac is thrilled with the new venture, saying it allows her to reach out and grow her brand.
“The best thing about working with SportsGrid is that I can expand outside of golf,” she said.
“Obviously, golf is my sweet spot and what I’m most passionate about, but I love all sports.
“So, working with them has been fantastic because now I can do football and hockey and baseball, and really it’s just been a dream for me.”
