A person has been taken to hospital after a medical emergency in Bristol this morning, Thursday, February 6. Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the scene of a incident in the Troopers Hill area, near Kingswood, just after 6am.
Emergency services were responding to reports of a concern for the welfare of a person who had been missing, police said. The person was taken to hospital by paramedics.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: “”Emergency services attended the Troopers Hill area due this morning (Thursday 6 February) amid concerns for the safety of an individual who had been reported missing.
“A rescue operation was conducted and the person was taken to hospital by paramedics. We left the scene at about 8.55am.”
Avon Fire and Rescue Service told BristolLive: “Crews from Temple, Kingswood and Hicks Gate were called at 06:07 to support Avon & Somerset Police with a medical emergency.”
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 06:03hrs on Thursday 6 February to an incident near Kingswood, Bristol.
“We sent a double-crewed land ambulance, an operations officer and a hazardous area response team to the scene and we conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Bristol Royal Infirmary.”
