One person is dead following a shooting Wednesday evening in the downtown Moss Park area of the city.
Toronto Police say they were called to Queen and Sherbourne Sts. around 8:05 pm for reports of gunfire.
Officers found a male victim with gunshot wounds. He was rushed to hospital, where he died.
Police did not provide information on his age or if he was a resident of the area homeless shelters.
The suspect fled the area, police believe not by vehicle, and no other information was required.
It is the city’s third homicide of the year following the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old boy on Tuesday in an apartment building in The East Mall and Rathburn Rd. area.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
