A brand new restaurant serving up contemporary French cooking is set to open in Bristol’s Wapping Wharf ‘soon’. From the team behind Bank Bristol in Totterdown, Lapin will also focus on serving up a wine list full of mostly French household names and hidden gems.
Taking to its brand new Instagram page, the team posted an announcement on January 31, which read: “Introducing Lapin. We are unbelievably excited to announce our newest restaurant, Lapin.
“A contemporary French restaurant in the heart of Bristol, Lapin is inspired by the timeless charm of bistros and brasseries dotted around France. This will be a modern take on classic French dining. Locally sourced ingredients, bold yet refined flavours, and a relaxed, convivial spirit. Opening this Spring in @WappingWharf.”
In another post, the team added: “Wine will play a big role in Lapin. Mostly French, with some exploration of French styles around the world. Our wine list strike a fine balance of household names and hidden gems.
“Everything will be available by the glass, and we’ll be pouring freely throughout the week.” With the new opening said to be ‘on the horizon’, a number of job roles are available across both Lapin and Bank Bristol, in Totterdown – from front and back of house staff at all levels, to chefs at all levels.
Taking to the comments section, fans were quick to share their excitement at the news. One said: “Incredible news! Got to ‘bank’ a seat for the opening!”
While a second wrote: “So buzzing about you coming to Wapping Wharf” and a third commented: “Yes… Another excuse for more date nights. Can’t wait for the opening. Congratulations.”
