Comedy stars and Daisy May Cooper’s brother Charlie Cooper are set to appear in the second series of Am I Being Unreasonable?.
The show, penned by Daisy May Cooper and Selin Hizli, was a hit for the BBC in 2022, attracting 3.2 million viewers.
With three RTS Awards under its belt and three BAFTA nominations, including one for best male comedy performance for Lenny Rush as Nic’s son Ollie, the first season set a high bar.
As the new series unfolds, many familiar faces will return, alongside fresh talent in both guest and recurring roles.
The Mirror reports Daisy May Cooper is back as Nic, the lonely wife with a dark secret, and she’s joined by her real-life sibling and co-creator of This Country, Charlie Cooper, who takes on the role of a cartomancer aiding Nic.
Ahead of the new series of Am I Being Unreasonable?, this is who is in the cast of series two.
Daisy May Cooper as Nic
Daisy May Cooper reprises her role as Nic, grappling with the aftermath of her actions from the first series and striving to mend her marriage.
Daisy May Cooper shared her thoughts on returning to the series: “If you thought Lenny Rush’s BAFTA-winning performance upstaged me in series one, wait until you see his performance completely upstage me in series two where you will be left wondering whether I was even in it at all…. livid.”
Cooper has previously shone as Kerry Mucklowe in the BBC Three sitcom This Country and has appeared in Rain Dogs, The Witchfinder, Avenue 5, Taskmaster, and Never Mind the Buzzcocks.
Selin Hizli as Jen
Jen, portrayed by Hizli, is a friend of Nic and the mother of Harry, a boy at Ollie’s school. She seems to have an obsession with Nic.
Hizli has previously appeared in shows such as Grantchester, Mum, Appropriate Adult, Father Brown Deadwater Fell, Luther, among others.
Dustin Demri-Burns as Dan
Dustin Demri-Burns plays Dan, Nic’s husband who has taken up rollerblading to cope with his mid-life crisis. By the second series, the couple are attending marriage counselling.
Demri-Burns is known for his role in the sketch show Cardinal Burns, and has also featured in Slow Horses, Sweetpea The Great, Stath Lets Flats and The Capture.
Lenny Rush as Ollie
Lenny Rush portrays Ollie, Nic’s son who is revealed to have killed the family cat. Lenny won a BAFTA for Best Male Comedy Performance for his work in the first series.
The award-winning actor has also appeared in Doctor Who, Would I Lie to You?
Apple Tree Yard, A Christmas Carol, The Dumping Ground and Dodger.
David Fynn as Alex
David Fynn plays Alex, who is revealed to have been killed by Nic at the end of the first series. However, he will continue to appear in the second series.
Viewers may recognise him from Daddy Issues, The Inbetweeners, Peep Show, Doctor Who and Black Mirror, as well as His Wife and the Canoe.

American actress Chelsea Peretti, known for her roles in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Parks and Recreation and Saturday Night Live, will portray a relationship counsellor.
Tom Davis
Comedian Tom Davis, who has appeared in Wonka, King Gary, The Curse, The Virtues and Plebs, is also part of the cast.
