If you’re looking to make some savings when you’re buying a new gym bag, then look no further.

A savvy shopper was thrilled when she found the ideal bag in Primark, which she said looked just like a Gymshark product but boasted a price tag less than half that of the original.

Primark is renowned for its wide array of budget-friendly items, spanning categories such as cosmetics, fragrances, and activewear, making it a go-to destination for those seeking alternatives to their favourite designer items.

Shyanne Leanne ventured into her local branch and was overjoyed to stumble upon the must-have item. However, she found herself spoilt for choice with the variety of colours on offer.

“I don’t know if you’ve seen, but Primark have released a tiny gym bag like the Gymshark one, but that one’s quite spenny [expensive], and I’m not gonna pay £30 for that, so I’m gonna see if I can find the Primark version,” Shyanne expressed.

Initially, she had some difficulty locating the right size in the store, finding them either “too small or too big,” as she was on the hunt for the mini version rather than a personal cross-body bag size. Eventually, she “spotted the beige one” and considered it, though she leaned towards “thinking maybe [of buying] the black”.

In the end, Shyanne reasoned: “I feel like I’m gonna get black because it’ll get dirty at the gym,” before joyfully picking up the £12 bag and exclaiming, “Yay!”

While shopping, she admitted to “ended up picking up more things,” but shrugged it off as “fine”. She was particularly drawn to the pink bag, commenting, “They are a lot nicer but will get dirtier,” before deciding that black was a safer choice and opting for the “sensible option”.

Primark’s ‘Mini Gym Bag’ is available in ecru, pink, and beige, and retails at £12. It’s touted as a “small gym bag with a main compartment, exterior zipped pockets and two shoulder straps,” making it an ideal companion for those planning a post-work workout.

The bag is “perfectly sized to hold a single athletic outfit along with your everyday essentials.”

Gymshark’s version costs £25 and is only available in black. It’s marketed as “your work-to-gym hybrid. The Everyday Mini Holdall is your go-to for those smaller gym essentials. Carry your kit in comfort with adjustable straps, and attach your keychain to the handy rope loop to keep everything in one place.”
