Viewers of Silent Witness have expressed their emotional turmoil as the show’s final episodes are broadcast on BBC One.

The beloved crime drama is wrapping up its 28th season, with fans eagerly awaiting the climax. The second-to-last episode, titled I Believe in Love, aired on Monday (February 3) evening.

The latest episode opened with a harrowing scene where a Syrian pizza restaurant became the site of a shooting, resulting in six fatalities. Emilia Fox’s character Nikki Alexander and David Caves’ Jack Hodgson were quickly on the case to track down the perpetrator before further harm could be done.

A breakthrough occurs when CCTV footage leads to a suspect, but he is discovered deceased, an apparent suicide, with the same unique bullets from the shooting in his possession.
