Marcus Rashford has been told he will never play for Manchester United again while Ruben Amorim is manager after the forard joined Aston Villa on Sunday, according to reports.

The 27-year-old had fallen out of favour at Old Trafford and, after links with the likes of Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, Napoli and Besiktas, has now left on a temporary basis.

Amorim gave every player a chance to impress when he arrived as Erik ten Hag’s replacement in November.

Yet the 40-year-old hasn’t taken to Rashford, with the England international frozen out ever since the middle of December 12.

And The Sun say Rashford has now been informed that he will never play for United again while Amorim is in charge.

His bridges appear to have been burned at Old Trafford and, with the club committed to the manager, he’ll now be aiming to sparkle in his new surroundings.

Villa have been tracking Rashford since November, according to an insider.

They told the newspaper: “Marcus always said he would never play for another club in England because he is a United fan.

“He started to think he needed to move earlier this season and wanted to go to a big European club.

“The reality is he’s not had the interest he expected. Villa first showed a tentative interest in him last November.

“Amorim has made it very clear he has no future at Old Trafford.

“Villa have managed to offer him two things — keeping his wage the same and Champions League football.”

If Rashford does impress at Villa, then Unai Emery’s side will have the chance to sign him on a permanent basis for a fee of £40million.

And the forward is looking forward to his fresh challenge, with Rashford writing on social media: “I would like to thank Manchester United and Aston Villa for making this loan deal happen.

“I was lucky to have a few clubs approach me but Aston Villa was an easy decision – I really admire the way that Aston Villa have been playing this season, and the managers’ ambitions.

“I just want to play football and am excited to get started.

“I wish everyone at Manchester United all the best for the rest of the season.”

Rashford could make his debut for Villa in their FA Cup clash with Tottenham on February 9.

As for Amorim, he’ll be hoping his side can bounce back after they lost 2-0 to Crystal Palace on Sunday.

When asked about Rashford, he said: “When you loan a player – and I don’t think it’s official – you expect him to play and to improve, so there is nothing humiliating there.
