Fans of the TikTok-famous Jellycats have fallen in love with Primark’s new soft toy collection. The adorable plushies have arrived just in time for Valentine’s Day, and they could be the perfect present if you’re shopping for someone who loves plushies.
While Jellycat animal toys can start at around £13, Primark’s characters offer a sweet alternative if you’re looking to start a collection on a budget. There’s lots of ‘cute’ designs to choose from, and Primark’s toys start from just £3. Showcasing the adorable range on TikTok, @prmrkliverpool wrote: “New plush teddy’s now in store.”
The video highlighted a sunflower plant, an adorable storm cloud, a cereal bowl, a jam jar, a burrito, and an egg on toast, among other cute designs. Tagging a friend, one admirer wrote: “Jellycat [alternatives],” before adding a heart-eyed emoji. A second commented: “Omg.”
Elsewhere on TikTok, shopper Emma Jayne Curry (@emjaynee) also shared a video devoted to the soft toys. “Primark has done it again,” she wrote.
Some of the toys seen in her video included an egg in an egg cup, a ramen bowl toy, a soft frog, a unicorn, a cute dog plush, a birthday cake, a sweet lamb, and a classic teddy bear.
Delighted, one viewer responded: “These teddies are so cute.” A second said: “The wee strawberry jam jar!” Someone else added: “They are so cute, but I feel like they are too big! You couldn’t really collect them all, you’d have nowhere to store them.”
Another comment highlighted the similarity with plush toys they’d spotted in Morrisons. Jellycat enthusiasts have also spotted a Home Bargains keyring and a TK Maxx bag charm that reminded them of the popular Jellycat toys.
