Davina McCall, the star of The Masked Singer, has opened up about her passion for ‘self-help stuff’ and how it drives her kids up the wall.

In a candid chat with the Guardian, the mother-of-three confessed: “Lots of people get really annoyed with self-help stuff. I f***ing love it. I might read something on Instagram that will change my f***ing life! Makes my kids hate me, though, because I send them relentless amounts of self-help memes.”

Davina recalled one particular meme that resonated deeply with her: “A black and white image of a little girl, jumping in a puddle, in her pants, in the rain. She looks ecstatic. And it said, ‘Remember her? She’s still in there somewhere. Why don’t you go get her? ’”

Besides her fondness for motivational content, the Long Lost Family presenter also shared an update on her health following a diagnosis of a benign colloid cyst in November, reports Devon Live.

After surgery, she reassured fans that she’s recovering well, despite some short-term memory issues: “My short-term memory is a bit remiss but that’s something I can work on. I’m writing down everything I’m doing to keep myself feeling safe.”

Davina McCall, a well-known face in the world of television, has had an incredibly successful career so far. Her first significant TV role came in 1996 when she hosted the former ITV gameshow, God’s Gift.

After two years on the show, Davina landed what is arguably her most notable role to date in 2000, hosting Big Brother. Following a string of other high-profile TV roles, Davina now forms one quarter of the Masked Singer panel on the popular ITV show.

Tonight, Davina will join fellow panellists Mo Gilligan, Maya Jama and Jonathan Ross as they aim to reveal another celebrity on the show.

The Masked Singer can be watched tonight (Saturday, February 1) on ITV at 7pm.
