A small plane reportedly made an emergency landing on a highway in northern Ontario on Friday.
SNnewswatch.com reported, citing Ontario 511, that Hwy. 11 in Nipigon, near Thunder Bay, was closed in both directions for several hours on Friday night as a plane landed on the road.
The highway has since reopened.
It was not immediately known if there were any injuries, nor was it clear how many people were in the plane at the time of the landing.
A post on Skilled Truckers Canada’s Facebook page shows a small, single-engine propeller plane parked on the highway without any apparent damage.
The Transportation Safety Board said they were aware of the incident but information was still being gathered.
