Two people from Markham who cannot be named have been charged following several rock-throwing incidents in York Region dating back to last summer.
York Regional Police said both were charged Tuesday for the incidents that began in July 2024 and which occurred in Markham and Whitchurch-Stouffville.
An 18-year-old male is charged with two counts of mischief under $5,000. Police said the accused cannot be named as he was a youth at the time of the alleged offences.
A 17-year-old male is charged with mischief under $5,000.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and anticipate more charges may be laid.
