The Blue Jays are adding a big-name arm to their starting rotation.
Veteran right-hander Max Scherzer has signed a one-year, $15-million deal with Toronto, according to the New York Post’s Jon Heyman.
ESPN insider Jeff Passan also reported on the structure of the deal, adding on X that the “Blue Jays have been interested in Scherzer for weeks now, and the deal for him to join their rotation is done.”
More to come.
