For many Nando’s lovers, the classic sauces might not compare after falling in love with one that’s only around for a limited time. But fans have been given the “best” news that a family bottle will be rejoining the sauce station soon.
People swore they wouldn’t back down until their culinary prayers had been heard – and it seems they have been. It has been confirmed that the Creamy Salad Dressing will officially return after what felt like an eternity.
Giving in to what they’ve referred to as “daily demands” Nando’s bosses agreed it was about time for a comeback. After five years, and a dedicated Change.org campaign, the company is set to bring back the coveted sauce in all of its UK and Ireland branches starting Tuesday, February 4, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Ever since Nando’s decided to axe the popular condiment, there has been outrage amongst its fans. Some were insisting they’d never set foot in a restaurant until their demands were met.
Nando’s has been teasing fans for a while, with one cheeky Facebook post telling people to “stop asking”. Plenty of these sauce lovers were vocal about just how much this campaign meant to them on the petition.
One claimed: “It’s the best! Nando’s isn’t the same without it!” Another wrote: “My chicken was just a carrier for this delicious sauce. I cried the first time I tasted it and I cried when I realised it was gone.”
A third made themselves clear, commenting: “I won’t go to Nando’s unless this sauce is there. It’s bloody lush and need my Nando’s and creamy salad dressing sauce fix!”
After much anticipation, the wait is nearly over, as the Creamy Salad Dressing is poised to make its glorious return to the sauce station. The sauce has been hailed as the “perfect match for pretty much everything on the menu”.
Despite its ‘dressing’ label, it’s not just for salads – Nando’s experts recommend giving it a go with Peri-salted Chips, Spicy Rice and Chicken Wings. Alongside choosing their spice level, customers can indulge in unlimited sauce (literally on tap in some outlets), ready to dip, drizzle, dunk or pour to their heart’s content.
The Creamy Salad Dressing is the latest cult favourite to make a triumphant return. Nando’s previously reintroduced spices like Mango and Lime for a limited period, but those were just temporary.
