Actor Simon Rex has revealed he is no longer in contact with the Duchess of Sussex, speaking this evening at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.
The 50-year-old star gave a firm “No, no” when asked if he maintains communication with Meghan Markle.
Speaking to the Mail at the premiere of his new film Magic Farm, Rex also clarified that he never dated the Duchess.
“I never dated Meghan. It wasn’t dating, no. That story was definitely elaborated,” Rex stated during the interview.

The actor revealed he had turned down substantial payments from multiple British tabloids who wanted him to fabricate claims about his relationship with Meghan.
“I said no to a lot of money because I didn’t feel right lying and f***ing up the royal f***ing family,” Rex explained.
The tabloids had allegedly offered him £70,000 to falsely claim he had “hooked up” with the Duchess prior to her relationship with Prince Harry.
The revelation about the tabloid offers first came to light in 2022, when Rex publicly shared his decision to decline the money.

Following the tabloid incident, Meghan sent Rex a personal thank-you letter expressing her gratitude for his integrity.
“She wrote me a letter actually thanking me for not, you know, dealing with the tabloids and making up stories,” Rex revealed at Sundance.
The letter, which included the message, “It’s nice to know there are still good people,” remains a prized possession for the actor.
“She wrote me a very nice letter. I have it framed on my wall,” Rex confirmed, noting that he has kept it displayed for the past three years.

Rex showed support for Meghan’s upcoming Netflix venture when informed about her new cooking show “With Love, Meghan”.
“Oh cool. Good for her,” the actor remarked at Sundance when told about the series, which is set to premiere in March.
The pair’s only professional connection stems from a 2005 episode of the sitcom “Cuts”.
“We hung out one time because we did a TV show together and nothing happened,” Rex had previously explained on the Hollywood Raw podcast. “She was just someone I met on a TV show and we got lunch. That was the extent of it,” he added.
