A star from This Morning has clapped back at cruel online trolls who commented on her husband’s changed appearance, which is due to medication. Eva and Nik Speakman are known for delving into human behaviour and run a successful therapy business, helping people tackle various mental health issues.

Their approach combines therapy and behavioural techniques, assisting clients with everything from eating disorders to severe fears, phobias, and self-harm. Beyond ITV’s This Morning, they’ve also dished out their advice on Loose Women in the past, as well as Big Brother.

Earlier this week, a photo of the couple with This Morning hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard was posted on Instagram with the caption: “A lovely start to this week on @thismorning helping to brighten up your Blue Monday.

“We hope everyone’s had a fabulous week, and is looking forward to a fun weekend ahead.” Despite this, some users were focused on Nik’s appearance, including one person who commented: “Nice couple but tell your husband to stop with the filler.”

According to the Mirror, Eva then quickly defended her husband, responding: “Please don’t be judgemental. He’s on steroids & can’t help the effect.” Regrettably, this isn’t the first time Nik has been criticised over his appearance.

Back in 2018, he denied having plastic surgery after a social media post suggested they’d both had work done. Nik responded at the time: “That’s a compliment that you think we’ve had plastic surgery but only had white fillings & veneers & pretty sure they won’t melt but appreciate your concern!”

One of the couple’s earliest high-profile cases was Kerry Katona, who was struggling with financial problems and addiction. Reflecting on their success, Nik recently said: “We got her over all those issues and she’s still without medication and drugs today. It’s the Speakman magic.”

Coronation Street’s Kym Marsh also sought out the Speakmans to overcome her fear of driving on highways, while former This Morning host Holly Willoughby received help for her flying phobia.

Celebrities like Peter Andre, Katie Price, Vicky Pattison, and Linda Robson have reached out for their help too.
