Married at First Sight UK’s Charlie Curtis has revealed why she didn’t receive an invite to the highly-anticipated reunion, suggesting it’s because she’s simply too “boring”.

Charlie, 30, who married Eve Reid in the ninth series of the popular reality show, had a turbulent journey and left after the second commitment ceremony.

At that time, viewers demanded for her bride Eve to be removed from the show for “mentally torturing” Charlie, leaving her in tears.

While participating in the show, Charlie fell out with the other brides, who were oblivious to how things were unfolding for viewers at home.

Despite her appearance on Channel 4, Charlie shared that she’s been overlooked for the upcoming reunion special. In a conversation with Daily Mail, she admitted: “I wasn’t invited. It really upset me, I was so upset when they told me I wasn’t going though.”

Charlie also disclosed that she’s formed bonds with the other brides off-camera, despite their on-screen conflicts, and was keen to reunite with them.

Feeling disappointed, she voiced her frustration, saying: “I felt so disheartened, I want my last… to go back with the girls when I’m friends with them now, no one saw any of us being friends on screen.”

Recollecting the pain of exclusion, Charlie elaborated: “So obviously we had a group chat, everyone was talking about the reunion and was like my invite must have got lost, it’s in the post because I’m not coming.”

Charlie revealed the MAFS UK production team told her over the phone that her “story is over so there’s nothing to follow”.

She continued: “They asked me, ‘Who do you talk to, is there any charm you have with anybody? ‘ I said no, I’m boring aren’t I?”

Charlie claimed this led to her not being invited, joking that maybe she should have stirred up some drama for “the extra air time”. However, Charlie, who has since moved on to a new relationship, seemed to have accepted the decision, saying: “Everything happens for a reason, I wasn’t meant to be there. I’m over it.”
